In early 2018, I began writing a script that would become a 4 year adventure and end with a short film I am proud of. Ships in The Night came from a different idea I had about hitchhiking across America. As I thought about it further, reflecting on the dangers of getting into a car with a complete stranger, the story took a more nefarious turn. After several drafts, a lot of feedback, and a year-long hiatus because of covid-19, Ships in the Night was finally finished.
